Planet Minimal uses electric vans to deliver environmentally responsible products to refill stores, independent supermarkets, offices and the hospitality industry. All bulk containers we use to deliver products are collected for refill and reuse.

How it started
and how it’s going.

When he started out in 2018, our founder Hamish designed an on-site delivery system, which was built using off the shelf components. He was able to fill our customers’ containers by the roadside from large tanks on board the van!
This was a lot of fun and a great way to get started but sadly this method is no longer possible now that the product range has grown. The principle and mission remains the same though - innovating to find efficient ways to eliminate single use plastic and make supply chains more sustainable.
We now deliver our products in bulk (10 and 20L drums predominantly), collecting empties to be cleaned, refilled and reused.
We estimate that our work has resulted in over **1,000,000** single use bottles saved, and that number is rising all the time!

Our most recent product offerings are most of the Ecoleaf range by Suma. We have partnered with Suma to help them close the loop in London
Laundry Liquid

Mild and concentrated non-bio laundry liquid by Fill that has been certified by AllergyUK and is Vegan Society approved. Supplied in 20Litre reusable containers.
Olive Oil

Award winning Aeithalis Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Greece, shipped over in 1,000 litre bulk containers to our warehouse where we decant into 20Litre reusable containers.
Cleaning Vinegar

Colourless liquid, prepared by the bacterial acetification of alcohol, produced from grain. Can be used neat or diluted as a general surface & glass cleaner, and for descaling
Seaweed Fertiliser

Shropshire Seaweed is one of the UK’s best-selling organic fertilizers online – and now it is available for Zero Waste and refill shops in reusable 20 Litres containers.
Hair Wash

A shampoo from Fill that contains knotted wrack Scottish seaweed, a botanical extract with high mineral content, delivered in our 20Litre reusable containers.

Everything we do is geared towards allowing products to be supplied in the lowest impact way possible. Our founding principle is to eliminate single use plastic, but there are always additional opportunities to increase efficiency, hence our commitment to electric vehicles, and our use of technology to optimise routes.

We partner closely with carefully selected, local (where possible) manufacturers and brands, meaning the mileage in our supply chain is kept to a minimum, and we work hard to ensure that our supply partners have similar sustainability objectives to us.

Our customers can feel confident in the knowledge that our efforts are focused on minimising waste and maximising efficiency in the process of getting products to them. There is always room for improvement and we are always iterating on our model to optimise efficiency.
